Maths, Science & Technology Week
Thank you to the many parents who came to the bottom hall to see our Maths, Science and technology week exhibition two weeks ago. The children were rightly proud of the learning they had been doing with an exciting range of activities on show including a fantastic animal workshop.
The children were curious but terrified at the same time but it was all very safe! They also enjoyed getting muddy taking part in a gardening workshop, they were planting seeds with the gardeners. As you can see our new garden is now really starting to take shape.
Year 4 had a wonderful time at the London Canal Museum last week. They added so much to their knowledge about the Industrial Revolution when canals played such a crucial role in the development of our country. The highlight was a trip down the canal in a canal boat. It was a beautiful day, the views were lovely and everyone even got a chance to steer the boat! Finally, we have to add that the other visitors at the museum kept commenting on the politeness and great behaviour of the Hoxton Garden children.
At the end of April, Year 2 went on a trip to the Little Angel Puppet Theatre to link with their current Design & Technology topic, puppets. They watched a magical production about a little girl who cuts out a string of paper dolls and takes them by the hand for a fantastical adventure whirling through their home and garden.
