What we’ve been up to…
Lily class thoroughly enjoyed their visit from the Dog’s Trust and Tigger the dog. They learnt lots of new information about how to care for a dog properly, and they got the chance to feed, train and groom Tigger.
Lily class took a trip to the library on Friday afternoon where they were read an exciting story by one of the librarians. They were then able to choose a book each to borrow to take back to school and put in the Lily class book corner.
We Met Florence Nightingale!
She came to our school to tell us about her life and all the things she encountered as was growing up. We learned about different types of instruments and equipment that she used to use and we even got to dress up like her!
Spitalfield’s City Farm
Lily class had a wonderful trip to Spitalfield’s City Farm. They had the chance to meet lots of different animals as well as to spend time discussing where they live and what they like to eat.
This week we had a workshop with the school gardener. The children explored the different animals that visit our school garden and built a bug hotel for any visiting minibeasts.
Lily class performed their class assembly on the Gruffalo this week. They did an excellent job telling the story and using loud, clear voices.
Lily class had an excellent time in their light and fireworks workshop. They learnt all about how light travels, how rainbows are made and then got to have a go at creating fireworks in the classroom.
